Asparagus with Serrano Ham and Parmesan cheese

Asparagus with Serrano Ham and Parmesan cheese is a delicate little dish that fits both as a starter and as a snack.

It may well be serves with good bread and is also suitable as a tapas dish.

Ingredients

8 slices of serrano ham or other cured ham
8 pcs green fresh asparagus
150g/5¼oz parmesan cheese cut into 8 strips

Preparation method

First, clean the asparagus and cut off the root end.

Peel the lower part of the asparagus and place in boiling water for about 4 minutes. Cooking times vary depending on how thick the asparagus is.

Once it has cooked long enough, rinse the asparagus in cold water to stop the cooking process. Then wipe them.

Add an asparagus and Parmesan cheese into the ham and roll around.
